As we embrace the festive season, filled with family gatherings, holiday baking, and joyful celebrations, let’s remember the importance of self-care and kindness towards ourselves amidst the hustle and bustle.
During the transition from autumn to winter, a common concern among my clients, regardless of their skin type (oily, normal, or dry), is an increase in skin dryness. This condition, also known as xerosis, is often caused by reduced humidity in the air, leading to decreased moisture levels in the skin. This can lead to dullness, irritation, flaking, and cracking of the skin.
To combat winter skin challenges, which include reduced sebum production, I recommend transitioning from a lighter summer moisturizer to a richer, more hydrating product suitable for all skin types. It’s also vital to keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Many of my clients ask “Why do you carry different skin care lines?”. The reason is pretty straightforward: each person’s skin is unique.
A product that works wonders for one skin type or condition might not be suitable for another.
